One of the biggest differences between the original Razer Phone and the Razer Phone 2 is the latter’s support for CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint. However, that support looks to be in question after device owners on Reddit said they ran into certification issues.
These issues can prevent device owners from making phone calls, sending out messages, or using Verizon’s LTE network. This is a strange issue to see, since the Razer Phone 2 supports bands 2, 4, and 13 on Verizon.
Interestingly, Droid Life noticed that Razer did not receive any certification for the Razer Phone 2 to run on Verizon’s network. Some Reddit users even wondered whether Verizon had any IMEI information in its system to make the certification process as smooth as possible.
The good news is that Razer is aware of the issue and is working to get network certification. A Razer manager also told Droid Life that the Razer Phone 2 was supposed to be “enabled yesterday,” so perhaps the company ran into a snag along the way.

While you wait for Razer to fix this blunder, you can contact Verizon to have the carrier manually add your device’s IMEI to your account. That should remedy any issue you had with Verizon network compatibility on your Razer Phone 2, though some people said they have not encountered any issues.
